Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is the real name of the most sexiest music artist in Colombia and Latin America in early 1990's,also known as Shakira. She is originally born in Barranquilla, Colombia on the 2nd day of February 1977. At an early age, Shakira was really fond of music, she started performing in school as well as demonstrating her vocal ability in rock and roll music with her amazing talents in belly dancing. Shakira was discovered by Monica Ariza, a local theater producer in Colombia when she performed in one of the events there in Barranquilla and was impressed by her performance. So Monica Ariza, convinced the Sony Colombia Executive Ciro Vargas to hold an audition for Shakira in the lobby of the hotel. After the audition, Ciro Vargas gave the cassette to a song and artist director in Sony office but the director think that she is "a lost cause". But Vargas did not give up easily for her and tell her to go to Bogota for audition because Vargas believed that Shakira has a talent. So Ciro Vargas arranged for the Sony Colombia executives the audition for Shakira and they were impressed of her performance and let her sign for three albums contracts.
